Kohn Prize Winner 2016

The first Walter Kohn Prize for quantum-mechanical materials  and molecular modeling was awarded to Yanming Ma, a young researcher from Jilin University in Changchun, China. The prize recognises his development of efficient methods for the determination of crystal structures based on density-functional theory and for the prediction of novel phases of materials under high pressure.
