Condensed Matter & Statistical Physics Postdoctoral Position 2026 - ERC WaveNets project

Within the ERC Consolidator Project Wavenets  -  ICTP seeks applications for 1 Postdoctoral position in the field of many-body theory, from outstanding young scientists of any nationality with a strong research record in the field. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Starting period: January 2026

Fellows must have completed a PhD in physics or related disciplines prior to the start of their Fellowship.

With about 50 academic members (faculty, visitors, postdocs and graduate students), an intense programme of workshops and conferences, and close collaborations with local scientific institutions such as SISSA, Elettra, and the University of Trieste, the CMSP section provides a vibrant international research environment. Postdoctoral fellows are also encouraged, and supported, to participate in activities in developing countries in order to promote the mission of ICTP.
