ICTP community, take note: the University of Trieste's Graduate Program in Physics is now accepting applications, and ICTP has four fellowships available for applicants from developing countries.
The ICTP fellowships are reserved for candidates from countries not belonging to the list of "High-income economies” (according to the World Bank criteria). Such candidates must indicate in their application that they are interested in the ICTP fellowship by noting the appropriate scholarship code (see below). ICTP fellowships support candidates who want to study the following fields:
- Physics, including astrophysics, condensed matter physics, theoretical physics, medical physics, and biophysics (scholarship code D/11)
- Earth science, fluid dynamics and mathematics. Interactions and methods (scholarship code D/1)
- Industrial and information engineering (scholarship codes D/2 and MD/4)
These PhD programmes are taught in English. Research is carried out at facilities on the University of Trieste's main university campus, as well as at the local Area Science Park and at national and international laboratories, in collaboration with Italian and international research institutions, including ICTP.
