Ramanujan Prize Ceremony 13 April

The 2022 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize Ceremony will take place on Thursday 13 April 2023 in ICTP's Budinich Lecture Hall starting at 14:00.

The 2022 prize recipient, Mouhamed Moustapha Fall, was awarded the prize for his outstanding work in the theory of Partial Differential Equations. Fall's research has given important contributions to the classical theory of constant mean curvature hypersurfaces in Riemannian manifolds, its extension to the nonlocal case and its connection to the general theory of fractional partial differential equations.

Fall is Professor and President of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Senegal. After completing ICTP's Postgraduate Diploma Programme, he went on to earn a PhD in mathematics from SISSA (Italy) and held postdoctoral positions in Belgium, Germany and Italy, before returning to Senegal at AIMS (with an endowed Chair funded by the Alexander von Humboldt foundation). He was an ICTP Simons Associate from 2014 to 2019.

Thursday's ceremony will include an introduction by Professor Luigi Ambrosio, Scuola Normale, Pisa, Italy. More details about the event are here.
