ICTP Postgraduate Diploma alumnus Reyimuaji Yakefu recently accepted a position at the institute of Theoretical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing.
Yakefu completed ICTP’s High Energy, Cosmology, and Astroparticle Physics diploma programme in 2014 under the supervision of ICTP Emeritus Scientist Alexei Smirnov, one of the world's leading researchers in neutrino physics. Yakefu later earned his Ph.D. in 2018 from the joint ICTP-SISSA doctoral programme, under the supervision of professor Andrea Romanino. His thesis was titled: Phenomenological Applications of Effective Field Theory: Neutrinos and LHC Physics.
Yakefu will continue his research in Beijing for at least two years. ICTP congratulates Reyimuaji for his accomplishments and wishes him all the best in his future career.
