Mathematics Opportunities at ICTP

ICTP's Mathematics section seeks candidates for its visiting research and postdoctoral fellowships. Opportunities include:

• Visiting Fellowships for outstanding mathematicians from developing countries: for short visits to ICTP (typically between 1 to 3 months) during the period 1 September 2016 to 31 August 31 2017, though longer visits (up to 9 months) are possible.
• Postdoctoral Fellowships: for young mathematicians with a strong research record. Fellows must have completed a PhD in mathematics prior to the start of their Fellowship. The Fellowships have a 12-month duration with a possibility to be renewed for a further 12 months.
• Shiing-Shen Chern Senior Postdoctoral Fellows: has especially attractive terms with a total tenure of 3+2 years, starting on 1 September 2016. It is intended for young  mathematicians with a strong research record. Fellows must have completed a PhD in mathematics prior to the start of their Fellowship.
