Position Open for Senior Research Scientist

ICTP is looking to recruit a senior research scientist for its High Energy Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics section (HECAP).

Researchers in the HECAP section are studying some of the most exciting areas in physics today, from string theory to physics at large energy colliders, from neutrino phenomenology to alternative cosmologies. HECAP collaborates closely with the staff of the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), the Department of Theoretical Physics of Trieste University, and with the physicists of the Trieste section of the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN).

The successful applicant will undertake world-class research in the formal aspects of high energy theoretical particle physics with emphasis on String theory and take initiative in the planning and implementation of scientific activities in string theory related subjects. She/he is also expected to coordinate the Physics Postgraduate Diploma Programme in the area of HECAP.
