In Memoriam

Praveen Chaudhari, who was chairman of ICTP's Scientific Council from 1998 to 2002, passed away on 13 January 2010 at his home in New York.

Dr. Chaudhari attended numerous conferences at ICTP over the years. He was instrumental in ICTP expanding its research in condensed matter physics.

Most recently, he was director of Brookhaven National Laboratory. His full biography can be viewed here.
