Akito Arima to lead science program

Akito Arima, a member of ICTP's Scientific Council since 2005, has been elected as president of the International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) and chair of its Board of Trustees. HFSPO, based in Strasbourg, France, supports basic research focussed on complex mechanisms of living organisms; fields supported range from molecular and cellular approaches to biological functions to systems and cognitive neuroscience.
