Ulrich Singe is the Senior Operations Officer at ICTP, overseeing the Administration and Operations Section. He joined ICTP in 2010.

He has a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on production organization and efficiency, and is a PMI-certified project manager.  He has a solid background in the implementation of ERP systems and IT landscapes and managing business process redesign projects.

In the past, he had various assignments as operations manager, project manager of large-scale IT projects and application management services, and IT manager. In addition, he had multiyear interim assignments as head of ICTP's Budget, Finance and Administration office and overseeing the Centre's Procurement office.

Prior to ICTP, he had a professional career within the Stork Group in The Netherlands and within IBM in Europe and North America.

He has a special interest in High Performance Computing (HPC) and was a founding member of ICTP's master's degree programme in HPC.

He has been chair of ICTP's Directorate Management Committee since 2016.
